This was a surprise find, a redwood,specifically Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in a narrow strip of woodland right in the middle of the town!

Large Grey Poplar
This is a big Grey Poplar (Populus canescens) sitting in the middle of the field where I walk my dog.
Its quite tall, must be 100 foot plus with quite a girth, and I hope to get it measured and aged properly one day.
