More May Marvels

 Some trees seen today while on a walk to the village. 

First, a lovely Plane, just coming into leaf.

Then a Sycamore atop a hill.

Further along there were a few Hawthorns, full of blossom.

Near the allotments there is a lovely Hornbeam, with a very tidy form.

Then I saw what is possibly the biggest Whitebeam I've ever seen, all flowers finished.

Finally a big Birch with a wonky lower trunk. Moments later it rained quite heavily! 

A little mixed bag

 Some trees from today's walk. 

A Whitebeam with quite a lean on it, a magnificent Lime tree (Tilia sp.) and a big Horse Chestnut currently in flower, towering above a lamppost.
