Damaged Willows

 Saw a few of these damaged Crack Willows the other day, (Salix x fragilis), quite a shame to see them like this, though being Willow they will soon spring back.

In fact there were a few trees where branches had bent or broken into the river and had produce new sprouts.

Looking up an Ash tree

Leaning Locust and a lumpy cherry

 Spotted near the cemetery, a big Locust with a bit of a lean!

And a cherry with some gnarly bark!

An evening with big trees

 Took an early evening walk and spotted some big trees.

2 Ash trees, one damaged, then an Elm, and 2 nice tall Black Poplars

A Mighty Oak

 Beautiful big English Oak on a beautiful sunny day in May

 A beautiful English Oak soaking up the spring sunshine.

Couple of big textbook trees

Spotted a huge mature pine by the side of the road.

And further along a perfect specimen of a mature  Lime.

Urban trees

 2 nice trees spotted in Shildon. A big Willow next to the track at Shildon NRM, and a large Sycamore on a street corner in Shildon.
